That is the only channel. No contact form, no phone number, no chat widget — none of them would reach anyone faster, and a form implies an intake process that does not exist.

Worth writing about

A correction — see the corrections policy.
A question the site should cover, especially one where what is online is thin or wrong.
A broken or moved source link.
Permission to quote or republish.
An accessibility problem, including anything that fails in dark mode.

What we cannot help with

We cannot answer questions about your own situation. Citywide is a publication, not a law firm. We cannot tell you whether you qualify for something, review your notice or lease, say what to file, estimate timing, or recommend a lawyer. Writing here creates no attorney–client relationship and makes nothing you send confidential — so please do not send documents or personal identifiers.

For advice on your own matter, contact a licensed attorney in your state. Most state bar associations run a lawyer referral service, and legal aid organizations serve people who cannot afford private counsel. Many cities also fund free clinics for tenants, immigrants and veterans specifically.

If a deadline is running

Deadlines do not pause for correspondence, and the ones on this site are often very short — some municipal claim notices are measured in weeks. If you are facing a hearing, an appeal window, a shutoff, an eviction or a removal date, contact a licensed attorney or the court or agency directly rather than waiting for a reply here.
